Imani Winds
Imani (meaning “faith” in Swahili) Winds are known for varied and culturally poignant programming. Their love of jazz is reflected in works by Santamaria, Schifrin and Coleman. Virtuosity is displayed in music by Husa and Ligeti, whose extended techniques push the boundaries of musical possibility. Piazzola's “Song of Liberty” proclaims his joy of discovering new ideas and pathways of expression.

Susanne Park joined the Pittsburgh Symphony’s first violin section in 2006, after nearly 10 years as a substitute. She studied with Peter Zazofsky of the Muir String Quartet.
