The Analytical Eye: Photographs by Aaronel deRoy Gruber
Silver Eye pays tribute to Aaronel deRoy Gruber, one of Pittsburgh's most prolific artists, with this retrospective exhibition featuring over 50 photographs.  Gruber, who recently turned 90, is still actively creating fine art photography.  Her inspiring images that range from picturesque panoramas of landscapes to industrial views of steel mills can be found in museum and corporate art collections throughout the country.

New Works Gallery: Julia Staples and Ryan Zoghlin
The New Works Gallery is a space for Silver Eye members to exhibit their recent work, rotating each month.  The two-person exhibition is dedicated to keeping members and visitors informed of contemporary trends in the field.  Julia Staples, of Philadelphia, PA will present her exhibition “Free Market Iceland,” and Chicago, IL native, Ryan Zoghlin will present his exhibition “NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard).

A Tree Grows Strong
Parental Stress Center's Youth Performing Arts Collective (YPAC) presents “A Tree Grows Strong,” a play by Pittsburgh playwright Bob Gorczyca.  The production takes a first hand look at the life of mothers told from their own experiences.  Gorczyca gives candid soul stirring accounts of maternal relationships between mothers and their daughters.  The examination of female bonds, from conception through their evolution, bring tribute to the lives of our grandmothers and the sacrifices they endured to hold the black family together.
