Strike Up the Band
The RCBB's annual salute to the music and performers of the big band era.  This year, the concert will feature legendary jazz guitarist Joe Negri as guest soloist in the April concerts.  On the program; Duke Ellington's It Don't Mean a Thing, Hubie Blake's Bugle Call Rag, and new arrangements by Mike Tomaro of Gershwin's Strike Up the Band and Jimmy Van Heusen's Polka Dots and Moonbeams.

In his new documentary, filmmaker Kenneth Love celebrates the life and art of world-renowned Pittsburgh-based artist Aaronel deRoy Gruber through exclusive interviews with family members, friends, and art experts. The film captures the shape and luminosity of her kinetic sculptures, the rich colors of her paintings, and the analytical eye that she brings to her photographic compositions.

Noseda & Schubert's "Great"
Violinist Nikolaj Znaider performs the sumptuous Violin Concerto by Korngold, a Viennese master renowned for classic Hollywood scores of the 1940s. Italian conductor Gianandrea Noseda performs Weber's "Passacaglia" and brings Schubert's "Great" Symphony to Heinz Hall for a rousing finale.

The Rocky Horror Show
Directed by Scott Wise with musical direction by Camille Rolla and choreography by Jeremy Czarniak.  The Rocky Horror Show is the risqué tale of two straight-laced lovebirds who run into car trouble on a rainy night and seek refuge in the eerie mansion up the street.  With unique characters such as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Magenta, Riff Raff, and Rocky Horror himself, The Rocky Horror Show has been a theater favorite since in premiered in London in 1973.
