Tourists from around the world admire the 1300-plus monuments on the Gettysburg battlefield in Pennsylvania. But time, nature and vandals are taking a toll. You'll meet the people working to protect, repair and raise funds for the Gettysburg monuments, and see volunteers giving their time to spruce up the battlefield. You'll also hear from the guides and historians who preserve the monuments in a more personal way: by keeping alive the unique and poignant stories behind these "stone soldiers."
